One night in the Camelback Stake Library, the Missionaries brought an
investigator. I asked him if he would
like to start working on a beautiful fan chart for his living room of his
family. He of course, said yes, so I
started a tree for him in my Ancestry grove of trees, knowing that at anytime,
I could assign him as an editor or export the tree for him to upload into his
own Partner Access Ancestry site one day.
As we began, he gave me dates and I typed for him. I had found a birth certificate, death
certificate and Social Security Certificate showing May 21st was the
correct date of death. The birth date
jived with what the name and age and location were, however, he was very
determined that May 15 was her death date. “Are you sure that she died May 15??
Because everything that I am pulling up shows a death date of May 21st!” At the same time, we both looked at each
other and mirror voiced, “That’s
TODAY!”. He suddenly looked down and
got misty eyed. “She appeared to me this
morning. I think that’s why we came here
tonight.” I continued to work with him
on his family tree and two weeks later he was baptized into the El Dorado
Ward. We attended the baptism and gave
him a book of 300 names to start his journey on his baptism day. He came back
to learn how to do more. Find, take and
teach….he said he would show his wife what he learned.

THIS
WEEK’s DEAD END IN PUZILLA - A young woman named Lisa from another Ward, was sitting next to me and getting more and more exasperated. I asked her if I could assist her. I asked her what she wanted to learn. What was her goal for the evening? She had a list of things she wanted to accomplish and wasn’t having much luck. I said a silent prayer and took it a step at a time. Before long, she had names reserved, printed and data was properly sourced. She learned how to find stragglers in Puzzilla, had not known how to source her data before and had been struggling with the card printing Procedure. She was so happy when we got done, I asked her if I could take her Picture. I asked Lisa who she would teach this to on a one on one basis and she said she was going to Start at the top of the list and work with the Singles and would let me know next Thursday (4-20-2017) how she did! She sent me an email telling all the Singles of her experience and offering them a prize if they knew what Puzzilla.org was! She returned and used her new skills to find more. She had us come speak to the Elite Singles last week. It was a very rewarding experience!

very full, we will need to expand it to see any holes.

more generations to see the gaps.

6 generations. Went to Puzilla.org and
entered his Father’s PID number to look for holes.

SOMEONE ENTERED HER NAME INCORRECTLY. MRS WAS IN THE FIRST NAME FIELD. SUSANNAH WAS IN THE LAST NAME FIELD. FIND THOMAS BISCOW AND CORRECT HIS WIFE’S NAME to SUSANNA PARKER, from
Hertfordshire, England. Above, please see their marriage license above.
7. THEN YOU CAN START
SEARCHING FOR HER PARENTS IN THE UK ON FIND MY PAST in Hertfordshire, England
and watch for them on her birth certificate in about 1725-1730. Also look for Parkers who were born around
1705-1710 who own property or are living in Hertfordshire, England with a baby
named Susanna as she personally listed it on the Marriage License – NOT
SUSANNAH

Death certificates are important documents for genealogy and great for understanding health risks. Usually a death certificate will contain the death and birth dates along with where these events happened. There is usually the name of the person supplying the information on that certificate (relative or close friend). Additionally, there may be the Father's name and the Mother's maiden name. Now study the cause of death. If you don't understand the term, google it. If you know the cause of death for your ancestors, you may be able to take steps in your life with preventive measures to prolong your life. After all, your relatives are counting on you to find them! Keep yourself alive so you can provide those Gospel opportunities to previous generations.

Do you have 4
generations in your tree?
We are getting a lot of responses that our
Stakes have not received the Promised Blessings slide Deck in February. To help them gather the numbers quickly, we
came up with a handout to give to their Bishops. They can circulate this and people (even
Beehives and Deacons) can say YES, I have 4 generations! Then the Consultants can split up the rest of
the ward list and do some quick calls to get as many as they can. Good Luck!
