Primary Family History Training

We were going to put this in our newsletter and still should. It's so important. I can't tell you the number of people who did not start training the youth last year when the prophet asked them to because they just didn't know where to start.

We have taken the guesswork out of it and given you a way to train the young ones, give them an opportunity to share for sharing time what they have learned, and earn a certificate. All you have to do is go through it with them and help them learn it.  We call it Primarily Primary Training for Family History.

Have your Consultant teach the ones who are ready to graduate the Consultant Planner and Access. The younger ones should start with fun apps. I will upload our deck called Primary Goals which will help you as a leader as well as help you with your family history as you learn right along with them how to analyze a tree for optimal success and mend the dead ends.

I leave you with the Spirit of Elijah alive and well in our hearts. We hope this is of benefit to you. Would appreciate your feedback in the FAMILYSEARCH.ORG - HELP - COMMUNITY - TEMPLE AND FAMILY HISTORY CONSULTANT GROUP AS WELL AS THE STAKE TEMPLE AND FAMILY HISTORY CONSULTANT GROUP.

As we continue to learn more state of the art ways to improve your skills, always remember that no technology can replace the power of prayer. These spirits want to be found. They love you and are grateful to you for helping them and helping the young children learn how to do this work. Family History is not just for old folks - that was an ugly

 rumor!

The best way to teach children genealogy is at https://www.familysearch.org/discovery
The apps are just amazing!

I've been working on a time travel novel about genealogy and just happened to find this - so cute.  I love LDS humor!
