What DID we cover?

How many ways can we introduce Family History to Children?  How do we teach them to value their family experiences?  What have you been doing to increase your family connection while COVID19 has been rampant?  Grandparents get lonely without family connections - This presentation will not only be great for Primary Presidencies but for families in general to give them ideas for success!

Part of family history is teaching how to document events with family for others to read in the future.  Activities with Grandparents can be precious and more so when their voices are recorded and uploaded to the Memories section of Family Search.  During the presentation, we will explore different ways kids can experience Family History

Primarily Primary is a program that we created to help the young 11-year-olds who will be transitioning in January to the Young Men's' and Young Women's' programs.  Giving them a little heads up on genealogy terms, and having consultants work with the family, great things can be learned just by playing some of the Family Search apps.

This Zoom will cover:

  • Primary Counselor over Family History role
  • Handouts on the links in our presentation
  • Handouts to use in working with the youth.
  • Suggestions for goals a young primary child could have for the project to pick from.
  • Certificates of Excellence are available if you want them
Also, we will give you links to these from our One Drive.  Please send us an email before you download anything.  Thank you.

The PDF of this event will give you links to what we discuss.
