HAPPY JULY 4TH AMERICA!
This is what is in this issue!
As we are both converts to the Church, we always marvel when we find that we have Mormon heritage. Who knew? This year, I found out that we had a cousin in 1930 who served a United States mission. I love the fact that people with whom I am related found a way to serve and give back to their community in many ways like this. Missionaries often need to do service and will offer to help people without asking for payment - just out of the love of their hearts. The world would be a different place if everyone offered to help someone without asking for payment. We call that ministering. That doesn't mean, we are Ministers as the world knows that word. It just means we are acting as Christ would. Good thought to have for your day today!
Pancake Breakfast on the 4th!
As always, on the Fourth of July, at the 82nd and Rose building in Scottsdale, there will be a free pancake (and Waffle! Thank you Ted!) breakfast for members and nonmembers alike, as we celebrate the Independence of America from tyranny and injustice. With the Declaration of Independence, we were allowed many freedoms, one being the Freedom of Religion.
