What is the future of Census Data?

In order to discuss the future of Census Data you need to first appreciate the evolution of the idea to keep track of every person in the United States.

 After you watch this video,

 ask yourself
what your solution to corroboration of evidence in the future?

Please share your thoughts.

My experience with the DNA TEST......and New Irish Records

What is

             Inis Bó Finne (Inishbofin Island)

?

Last week I met a cousin online that I had never met.  He was inspired to contact me because he noticed we had the same relatives and that a portion of my tree had come to an abrupt end.  He had the answer.  I had been searching for information for 40 years.  How did he know?  He took a DNA test.  I took a DNA test.

His opening remarks was that he was a Genealogist from the UK and had traced our Haplo Group to a little island 11 mi off the coast of Galway Bay.

Wow!  I was blown away.  I had been searching all these years for records from Galway, but not this tiny island...

I was able to add 3 generations to that line and our data matched up regarding my 4GGfather and his 4GGmother being siblings.

So now, the big reveal.  Here is the island.

What is the 60 days to Temple Success plan?

60 Days to the Temple Plan

We have been working with Investigators and Converts in creating the opportunity to train them on Family History.   The Missionaries in the Scottsdale Coordinating Council and Northern Arizona Coordinating Council now have the names and numbers of all Temple and Family History Consultants, and can invite them out on discussions.

Having someone in the Church who is your friend is a great way to keep them active and happy.  They look forward to working with the Consultant in the Stake Library or Ward Family History Room and help them find names.  We like to present them with a binder of their pedigrees on their baptism day and a fan chart for their home.

NASWFAMILYHISTORY NEWSLETTER - JUNE 2018

NASW FAMILY HISTORY NEWSLETTER FOR JUNE

FOR OUR NEWSLETTER CLICK HERE! http://eepurl.com/cZDKYn

If you have noticed an increase in your submitters for Converts due to using the Convert 60 day to the Temple tracker, please let us know!  We love success stories!

There were two baptisms in our Stake and using the tracker, I believe the EQ and Ward TFHC assigned a Consultant to each.  They came into the Library and for each we found 115 names for one and over 200 for another.  One said, "I'm ready to go!  I've got my names!"

Let us hear how you helped someone with their family tree!

HOW DO YOU KEEP TRACK OF CONVERT TRAINING?

Grasp the Challenge!
Be in Control of your Data forever!

Whether you are a Stake or Ward Lead, you are tasked with helping Investigators work with consultants and Missionaries with progression towards baptism.

During that time, there are several things that must happen.

1.  Who has been assigned to help them?
2.   As an investigator, have they been given a login and password?
3.   Have they started their tree?
4.   What is the baptism date?
5.   What is the 30 day mark towards the 60 day goal?
6.   What is your 60 day target date?
7    Post Baptism - have they been signed up for Partner Access?
8.   Have they learned the Consultant Planner?
9.   Do they have a limited use recommend?
10. Do they know how to reserve a name?
11.  Have they printed names?
12.  What was the date of the first visit to the temple with their names?

What if you had an excel workbook that you entered the data and it kept track of the numbers?
UPDATED 5/29/ 258PM - BETTER VERSION - MADE SURE THERE ARE NO LOCKED CELLS, BUT USE PASSWORD TEMPLE IF YOU WANT TO TWEAK IT FOR YOUR WARD

DOWNLOAD HERE

FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO GET IT SET UP:

This is working!  We have been getting messages that the Bishops/TFHCs are editing the sheets.

We updated the formulas in my Tracking spreadsheet - My husband is a mathematician and made it a lot more professional.    Here is our better version - I'm going to send it to others.
We created an account at onedrive.com
Created a folder for each Stake
Created a folder for each ward in that folder
Then saved a template as each ward name
Lastly created an excel sheet for our Mission President who wants to be informed and updated often of all the shared links, by ward....by Stake.  All he has to do is open one excel file and click on any ward he wants.

As long as no one changes your links and tries to do a "save as" to their system, your Leads can keep it updated for the Presidents/ (Stake and Mission) to keep "in the know!"

Excel is Microsoft Office - and it works very well with onedrive.com....google drive stops and hesitates with MSO products.

Camelback Stake - Mountain Shadows Linger Longer

We had a fun time and helped people with their family history. Thanks to the entire Mountain Shadows Family History - each took a booth and represented a faction of Family History from Ancestry, Family Search, Scanning pictures, Printing Names, History documentation, Scrapbooking, Kids Korner, Partner Access and Puzzilla. Whatever question someone had, they could go right to the expert! Great Day!
