When this video - which has no sound on purpose - it's just instructional so you can stop it and do what it says and then restart it - gets to the part about converting the file from OCS to Excel - you can pretty much ignore that. Some of the old software, yes, it has to be converted, but a Teckie Clerk who knows his way around the keyboard will know exactly how to quickly download 3 columns of the ward directory.

Here is the link to the excel workbook that you put onto a ward one drive so that the consultants can make calls to ward members, schedule one on one appointments and gather information about how best to help them.
Leaders have the most trouble with this aspect when consultants move out or released.
They aren't sure where to pick up the slack with that family. Now, everything is documented. They might need to learn how to merge. They might need to learn how to properly source a document. The leader, upon a consultant being released, has only to look at the documentation saved on the one drive to pick up and keep going with lessons for that family.
I hope you enjoy this. We have seen it truly make a difference in the lives of the leaders and also the Consultants.
Consultants have in their mind,
the idea that a Consultant is a person who knows everything. Therefore, they can consult with people and give them good advice. When a new consultant takes this calling, sometimes they are just so overwhelmed with their interpretation of what that calling entails, they have fears and anxiety about calling people to offer their services.
First of all, God would not have directed the Bishop to call you as a Consultant if he didn't think you could do it. We are all learning something new every day. Don't think that you have to know everything perfectly. However, if you want to learn tips that will help you stay on top of this calling and look professional, "like" our blog and our http://www.facebook.com/NaswFamilyHistory page so that you are always in the know.
Seek to find that which you desire and the Lord will meet you more than halfway!
The excel workbook that helps the Leaders to stay on top of their Ward needs is found here.
Please download it to your desktop, then name it your own ward family history template, then the system won't be as likely to save it on our onedrive or overwrite our original.
