New from RootsTech 2020

Rubies from RootsTech

Love to share these jewels with you.  The more knowledge you have the easier Family History research and documentation will be for you.

Memories for Ruby

This year, I lost a special friend.  I had only known her for 12 years.  She had been on this earth for 98 years.  Before her wonderful, caring husband Ken passed on,  they would come over to our home, sit on the couch and we would put their tree up on the big screen and hunt for names.  It was a lot of fun.  Her favorite color was red.  I got her a red had with rhinestones and she wore it everywhere, even in bed.  I remember when someone asked me to create a birthday card for her  95th birthday.  I can't tell you what a joy it was to do that.  Now you know, someone who has lived from before radio to the most iPhones will have lots of memories to share with her four daughters, 16 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.   That means her name is in the Family Search System 55 times.

She asked me every time I visited her why she had to wait to be dead to upload
her stories.  "...and what I have in there, my grandchildren cannot see!"  I agreed with her.  I prayed that they would fix it before she passed away but that just didn't happen.  So now, with great care, all 55 names must be merged into one.   they must be very careful not to merge the wrong way as to preserve the ordinances.

This is a common problem that I heard recently from Ron Tanner will be fixed. It's in the pipeline, Ruby!   Soon, you will be able to not only see your living relatives  but you will be able to create Family Projects together and let the whole family enjoy them.  You will be able to upload your stories, your pictures and your grandchildren will not have to wait until you pass away to appreciate your legacy.

Now people will really be able to collaborate not only on their dead but on their living .   Now, this video is from 2016 but Ron said that it is getting closer and we will let  you know when that is going to happen - just know Family
 Search is ON it!

Leadership Meeting attendance larger than ever!

Thank you so much to those in our Stakes to get the word out to their
leaders in their Wards to watch the Broadcast.  The Leadership Meeting streamed annually is the single most important meeting you should be attending.  I want you to know that being in that room was awe-inspiring
and I only hope you get the same feeling from watching it, too. It gives
you the basis for a Ward Plan and how to exercise it.  Of course, your
personal revelation for the needs of your Wards is the magic ingredient.
OUR MESSAGE TO YOU
Family History keeps teens out of trouble, it keeps us from doing things
we shouldn't, it is a cure for depression and anxiety, it draws you closer
to your Father in Heaven, it creates an unbreakable emotional bond with
your family beyond the veil.  Our personal message to you this month is
to go back and watch the 2019 and 2020 Leadership meetings and see
what magic you can create in your ward.
PLEASE iNVITE US TO SHOW YOU A PRESENTATION OF
HOW YOU CAN DO ONE WORK - MISSIONARY AND FAMILY HISTORY AND WORK MIRACLES IN YOUR WARD.
