Thank you so much for your interest in making sure your FHC is compliant so that it can always get the information straight from Salt Lake. We learned a lot about what has to occur and how often the machines get updated on their OS system, etc., Here is the RECORDING from that presentation

You may go to the blog to re-watch the video.
If you have any problems accessing it, I can send you a personal link to your email.
For the section for your Mission President that discusses Missionaries specifically, skip to page

Family History Center helpdesk is 1 801 406 1830
I'm attaching our Stake Handbook for our FHC - maybe you can use some of the things in it. Let us know if it helped you.
I changed ours to make it generic so add your information.
Copy and paste the Stake Family History Director to a Word of Excel sheet and add all the family history people from all the wards. this will be in your LDS tools on your phone.
Add your Stake FHC information from cdol.churchofjesuschrist.org using your login and password.
This lady will help you update your Wiki on the internet. You can list classes for Consultants on there and any Activities you have created can go on there too.
We use signupgenius and send a message to the Temple and Family History Leaders along with the quote from the handbook that they are supposed to send consultants to work at least once a month with a Stake consultant, shadowing his/her duties and learning advanced genealogy and workshop types of info. You can read more about that in the "job description for Consultants and Stake Consultants".
Our Next zoom will be: November 13 at 5pm Arizona time - MST daylight savings time ends this year at November 7
really....I'm not messing it up next month!!!

Here is the link for the Family History Center guide. It's not "obsolete" but it is very outdated. You can use our unofficial addition to this to help you until a substitute is issued.

Two power weeks - Here's #1
Many people don’t realize that there are certain things that must be updated on a regular basis in order to operate a successful Family History Center.
- Do you know if your computer licenses are up to date?
- Do you know which computers do not belong to the Salt Lake City office, and
- how to dispose of them when they cannot be updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10?
- If you can’t update, they will cease being able to print to the printers in your center which are registered with the SLC office.
- There are a lot of things which must be attended to in order to proceed. We have partnered with Family Search to share their technological directions plus there are some other things we have added which would be helpful to any Stake person who is in charge on a night when the power goes out, for example. So we will show you how to
- safely reboot the server,
- how to get back online with the portal and
- many other things.
- Until SLC comes out with a training manual other than the outdated one which is from 2015, we have a Stake FHC Manual which will help you train any of your Stake Consultants. So, let's talk next Saturday at 5:00 pm (MST Mountain Standard time, or Arizona Time)
Ted and Karen Meyer are inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.Join Zoom Meetinghttps://us02web.zoom.us/j/7270583299?pwd=MGdXUEVSTjI1dUpiaXNVbndPUS9iZz09Meeting ID: 727 058 3299Passcode: 2ZNTFYOne tap mobile+16699006833,,7270583299#,,,,*426517# US (San Jose)+12532158782,,7270583299#,,,,*426517# US (Tacoma)Dial by your location +1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose) +1 253 215 8782 US (Tacoma) +1 346 248 7799 US (Houston) +1 929 205 6099 US (New York) +1 301 715 8592 US (Washington DC) +1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago)Meeting ID: 727 058 3299Passcode: 426517Find your local number: https://us02web.zoom.us/u/keNCCJdIt
We also would like you to come - if you are one of our local stakes - to our Camelback Stake Family History Fair on Saturday 23, 2021 from 10 am to 1 pm. We have a great "cookie cutter" method of putting one of these on with all the steps - all you have to do is change the name, get some bodies for the booths and make it pretty. Three hours for the most important missionary activity of the year. Three hours of pure service to your community and the Ward Consultants, Temple and Family History Leaders and Elders Quorum Counselors assist in making the endeavor a success.
Here's a link you can send your Family History People - Please invite them to come so they can see how fun and easy it is.
